Emahoy in ‘Sound Trip of Miyakejima’

‘Sound Trip of Shima’ is a project by ‘Destination Tokyo Islands’ to encourage tourism to the islands off the coast of Tokyo.

From the Gebra Music Agency: “The theme of this project is ‘soundscape.’ It proposes a "journey that opens your ears" that takes you away from everyday life. The music content will create different "soundscapes" that respond to each listener's sensibilities, and the goal is to inspire listeners to "know more about" and "visit" Tokyo's remote islands. For the first installment, 11 artists will create playlists that capture the "island atmosphere" they experienced with their five senses during trips to islands related to them.

Japanese model and essayist Emma Maeda curated the playlist for Miyakejima and included Emahoy’s “Ballad of the Spirits!” Listen on Spotify.
