“Curator Nanda Janssen discovered that the three monastic communities in the Holy Triangle are a treasure trove. One that is filled to the brim with all kinds of treasures in the form of a tantalizing history but also values and principles associated with monastic life. In terms of way of life, philosophy of life and attitude, monasteries are potentially a source of inspiration for the world beyond. For example, in her view, the nuns are feminists avant la lettre, these communities lived sustainably before the word was invented, and employ the “cathedral age,” that of the long line. There are also few people who so radically do not go along with the masses, and can disregard the delusion of the day. In these times of hardening, it is refreshing that they stand up for the defenseless and the vulnerable.” Read more about A Deeper Shade of Soul here.
